Nice find. This really is huge. It's not proven yet tho but seeing as they can't find anything wrong with their mathematics its looking good for a revolution in physics. This is kinda mind blowing if it's true. It will change so dam much. And on the front page of the daily mail (news paper) they tell us about Kate winslets love life... Fail.

If they confirm this you can throw away your physics book right away. Isn't warp speed meant to be faster than light?

You know, I don't pretend to know anything about this stuff, but any time anyone says something like "this is an absolute limit nobody will ever be able to overcome", usually if you wait enough decades, someone overcomes it. I think all these limits we work within, such as Newton's law of conservation of energy, will be proven wrong someday.

Yes warp speed factor one is light speed. Hopefully in another 200 years high speed space travel will be invented. I'll be alive then to see it for sure!

The faster you travel the slower time goes past for you. Strange but it's been tested and it's true. If you move at light speed and go on a long journey, say to our nearest star alpha centauri which is 4.3 light years away (4 years traveling at the speed of light) then by the time you get back everybody will have aged more than you. Possibly by a horrible "dead" amount. It's could be a round trip of 8.6 years for you but it could have been 9, 10, 15 years for everybody at home. It could be the other way around too but I'm not gonna research it now

It turns out that after testing this they have found that there was in fact an error. Supposedly, due to a bad connection between the fiber optic cable on the GPS and the electronic card on the computer, the numbers were skewed. Once the connection was tightened, the discrepancy of 60 nanoseconds dissipated. The finding of the bad connection will need to be retested and confirmed, but it does seem to be the simplest and most accurate explanation, and as of right now, it is where all the evidence is pointing.
